Trinity College DipTESOL – Teacher

Amanda Williams

Amanda Williams has a diploma in teaching English as a Foreign Language and she has been teaching for 12 years. She has worked in China, Thailand, Indonesia and Italy as well as in the UK. Amanda has taught all age groups. She was team manager in China where she designed a course outline and materials for a multimedia based programme. Amanda also has experience in teaching Business and Medical English.


Steve Waller

I have worked as a TEFL teacher since 2008, living and working in Spain, Russia, Ireland and of course, the UK.

I specialise in business, law, medical and English for specific purposes with extensive experience in the classroom, in-company and on skype where I taught students from all over the world. I have devised many specialist courses including teacher training and professional development.

Before beginning my teaching career, I worked in many countries, training police, security and the military, on behalf of the British government.

I am  football crazy, I  run marathons and love drinking beer and coffee!

RSA TEFL – Part time Teacher

Virginia D B De Costa

Virginia has worked as a TEFL teacher since 1982, prior to this she worked as a French teacher and a translator with UN agencies in the UK and Africa. Virginia speaks fluent French, Spanish and Italian. She also has a working knowledge of German. Virginia works part time at the school and is a wonderful teacher to have.

Jon Brown


Jon Brown
Jonathan is a fully qualified mainstream teacher and has the CELTA qualification for teaching adults.  He has over sixteen years experience of teaching English, Business Studies and Spanish to a wide range of ages, abilities and nationalities in mainstream schools in London and Kent and he has also worked in Spain, France and Chile.  He prides himself on his eclectic collection of music and books, and other interests include motorbikes, cricket, rugby, football and real ale. He appreciates good coffee but likes to start each day with at least two cups of tea (and finish each day with at least one glass of wine).

Hi I’m Liane, the accommodation and welfare officer for Faversham. Previously a host and with a love for travel and culture, I decided to join the company to help groups feel safe and have the best possible time with their hosts during their stay.

Noel Ensoll

Noel has the diploma in teaching English as a Foreign Language and has extensive experience in TEFL. Noel has been teaching for 12 years. He has taught Business English for the British Council in Tokyo. He has been employed as an Assistant Director of Studies. He is a member of the English Speaking Union and coordinator for the National School Public Speaking competition. Noel was previously trained as an IELTS examiner.

Claire Roberts
I am a qualified teacher who has worked in the British education system for over 20 years. I  hold a Trinity Cert TESOL and I am official tour guide holding the prestigious Blue Badge!  I love teaching and particularly like meeting people from all over the world.  I speak Spanish and French but not at school, of course!  I actually make time for a hobby.  Very occasionally I make ceramic pots at home.

Verity Sessions
Verity joined our school in June 2011, having spent the previous four years hosting students from all over the world. She has spent many years living and working overseas in the fashion business setting up quality control departments and dealing with ethical trade audits. Verity has lived and worked in many countries including Vietnam, Thailand and India. Verity has qualified in Student Service Management, level 1 to 3 Safeguarding, Prevent, First Aid and mental health programmes. Verity is also in charge of administration, travel and welfare and over seas the running of the accommodation department.

Book Keeper

Alison Miller

Alison is the book keeper for LanguageUK.  She has been working for the school for many years and her appearance every Friday is always most welcome!  She works meticulously sorting out all the accounts for us.

Joanna Sessions

Joanna is a diploma-qualified teacher with more than 20 years’ experience teaching English. She has worked in London, Oxford, Mexico, Spain and the UK. Before starting LanguageUK, she worked as an Academic Manager, Head of Teacher Recruitment and Manager of the Advanced English department. In addition to being experienced in teacher training, she has also been an examiner for the Cambridge First Certificate (FCE) and IELTS. Joanna has managed LanguageUK since 2008

Leanne Tucker
I have a degree in Journalism and I have worked in  marketing for seven years. I am really interested in history and culture. I enjoy travelling when I can and I often go to New York to visit my partner, not every weekend unfortunately !
