LanguageUK Students’ “To-Do List”

- Read visa information if required
- Apply for a visa if you are required to do so
- LanguageUK booking form
- 4 passport photos (needed for student cards, bank accounts, police registration)
- Book flight
- Buy medical insurance (not applicable to EU students for any duration)
- Insure your personal belongings (This can be done by arrival; you may want to buy travel insurance.)
- Organize cash, credit and debit cards for the journey
- Obtain a banker’s draft or transfer money if you have been able to open a UK bank account before you arrive in this country. This is usually possible if your own bank has a reciprocal arrangement with a UK bank but most students will open a bank account after arrival in the UK.
